Can you tell what kind of home I am interested in building?  Or should I find more pics of brick colonials?  I have recently visited two girlfriends who have helped design and then had new homes built.  It is an interesting process that involves a designer/builder and lots of money!  And we are not quite ready to do this but it really appeals to me to pick and choose details of the home in which we want to raise the girls.  Something to work towards...

first!

These little cotton calico print nightgowns are the first items I have sewn that I actually like.  There are tons of mistakes on them and I have yet to learn how to custom fit the garment to my daughters, but now after about 18 months of trying, I finally like something I made!

dear blogger uploader- you suck lots- at no time during the posting of this was i able to control how i wanted my pics to go!!!!  become user friendly with quickness...now i have to wait for my computer genius husband to get home to fix this- i am not being sarcastic aaron actually is a computer genius. 

mini girl night

We have such limited space these days that we needed to have a mini version of our traditionally crowded- with-little-girls 'Girl Night'.  The girls invited Sarah and Eva from church and had a lovely time.

Myka really excells in drawing.  She sat Haily down and drew her portrait.  And per Haily's request Myka drew her as a Russian princess, 'Halinska'.

gingersnaps w/ g'pa eric

Every Christmastime my girls look forward to baking cookies with my Dad, Grandpa Eric.  Gingersnaps are such a Christmas-ey cookie with the cloves and ginger spice.  Both girls got some special time to help and even tried baking some in their new EasyBake oven!  Thanks Grandpa- you are the best.
